Coin-operated chat isn't working

Chat sessions disappear in the bottom of the history page. Corporations want you to put coin into the machine and promise to get you results by pulling the handle. It doesn't work if you operate on any level beyond the most trivial ideas. Even 1 Million tokens context doesn't come close to the grand scale of what your brain can carry.

And what happens when you reach context limit? You have to start all over, explain the problem right again and again to make iterative progress. Compacted context misses the important points in the middle of your conversation.

Random prompting and hoping for results isn't a workflow. It's like playing Quake with a railgun, if you're lucky you'll do fine for a while. It's gambling with your time.

I just had nothing better to write on

That could've been a napkin. I had a couple good ideas with points that I wanted to write to future self.

Then I had to expand my research and to better understand if my solutions are viable. LLM-agents could be pretty good at that, so that part of the cardboard was the first kard that LLM-agent had access to.

I've built this product to make ideas accessible for myself and LLMs, to track progress and get feedback. And now it's ready to be shared with you.

Context That Compounds

What corpos call AI-thinking, is just regurgiating the tokens to set up the vector that would be acceptable for the user. It's very different from how people think. The only thing that is in common between two is the context. And that matters most.

We can barely describe our context to ourselves. We assume so much without self-reflection from where these assumptions come. As long as they are comfortable for us. Putting these assumptions in writing may be painful just for ourselves. Now listing them for the machine? On the start of every session? That's a fuck no.

Card is atomic part that holds the context on Kardbrd. You may link the cards between each other, then follow these links or allow LLM-agents to follow these links. Board tracks what you are working now and what you achieved. All interlinked. Board adapts to your workflow and adjust to changes in it.

You bring ideas that you want to see in this world to the board and board stores them and makes them accessible. It's still you that have to impement them. No magic beans here.

How to Change Anything

A workflow for making change in the world, whether its physical or not is simple. Use any example that comes to your mind and walk these four steps

  1. 1

Explore: Understand how things are right now. Find all connection between what you want to change and othe entities it is related, linked, etm. Identified risk areas, see where it's thin.

  2. 2

Plan: Walk your mind through the list of atomic actions that you will take to change the thing. Do they make sense to you? Where do you have to be more careful? Where do you have to apply more power?

  3. 3

Execute: Use your body or mind make on each identified action. This is literally the easiest part of the job.

  4. 4

Review: Step back and look at what changed? Did you reach your intention? Catch the rough edges. Does it make things better now? Make sure it actually meets the bar before it goes out.

  5. 5

Ship: Put it out there. And go back to step 1 to iterate.

Kardbrd captures your ideas, your decisions, your experiemnts. It helps you build the path when there's none.

What's on the Card?

Card is atomic piece of information with particular context attached to it. Too much context on the card? Split it.

Description & Plan

That question that bothers you. And how do you plan to address it later.

Checklists

Actions and desicions. What has to be done to get it flying.

Comments

Discussing, ruminating, questioning the matter.

Attachments

The research, the mockups, the "here's what I found."

Links

Connect cards to each other. And link anything that can be linked and relevant.

That's the log of who did what and said what. Like that feed you scrolled couple minutes before.

Works With Your Tools

Kardbrd is accessible by anyone, on any screen size and even when no screen is involved.

Kardbrd Agent

Write a Task. The Agent Picks It Up.

Mention the agent on a card and it gets to work. It runs in its own workspace, posts progress as comments, and delivers results for your team to review. You stay in control.

No prompt engineering. No new tools to learn. If your team can write a task, they can command the agent.

Works overnight

By the time your team comes in, there's a draft, a fix, or a summary waiting for review.

Many tasks at once

The agent works on dozens of tasks simultaneously, each in its own safe workspace.

Open source & self-hosted

Runs on your infrastructure. Your code and data never leave your building.

Your ideas deserve to be implemented.

Board will hold them for you, so that you could focus on implementation.
